MESSAGES of felicitation from sympathizers, supporters and other well-wishers continue to pour into the national headquarters of Abante Mindanao (ABAMIN) partylist at Nazareth, Cagayan de Oro City since Thursday last week, soon after it was highlighted in the latest Pulse Asia survey.
The nationwide survey conducted January 22 to 26 this year, has mentioned ABAMIN as one of the 34 party-list groups “that are expected to win a seat each.”
“This development is greatly boosting our morale us despite our infancy in the political arena, our existence has started to glow in the hearts and minds of our people,” said ABAMIN National President MAXIMO ‘Maxie’ RODRIGUEZ JR.
ABAMIN is advocating for ‘real’ peace, solidarity and justice leading to economic, social and political development in Mindanao.
“The momentum that we are gaining right now, as reflected in the Pulse Asia survey, will go a long way in our quest for more infrastructure projects, livelihood, education and other unmet needs of the Mindanaonons.
ABAMIN had its grand launching, Tuesday last week, with a Holy Mass at the Saint Augustine Cathedral. There, Rodriguez was blessed by no less than Archbishop Antonio Ledesma, SJ.
A 70-car motorcade was then held around the city, with stopovers at the Cogon, Carmen and Puerto public markets, as well as at Agora-Lapasan.
“It was real great show of force of hundreds of ABAMIN followers, supporters and volunteers,” BAMIN Political Officer Vic dela Victoria observed.
Similar activities were simultanouesly held in the cities of Surigao, Butuan, Davao, Gingoog, Malaybalay, Iligan, Ozamis and other key areas in Mindanao.
ABAMIN is the only partylist group that was conceived and born in Cagayan de Oro City.
